Samba Minerals Limited (Samba) is an Australian exploration company, which is aiming to become a public company on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange (TSX-V) by the end of 2010. The company’s target is the acquisition of advanced gold exploration projects in Brazil. Samba has already acquired two highly prospective projects in the Tapajós Gold Province in the Amazon basin. Exploration work on the São João Gold Project commenced in July 2008.
Brazil is believed to be politically and geologically one of the promising countries for the development of mineral resources. Experts compare the situation in the South American country to Australia some 40 years ago. Brazil is deemed to be under explored and there are still opportunities to acquire large continuous licences at reasonable cost. Samba Minerals would like to profit from the situation. The experienced management team will be advancing exploration of the gold projects acquired through the joint venture.
